A mountaineering and high-altitude trekking professional, facilitator on training programmes and my experience with film making and web design brings in an instinct for the memorable and communication that works well in making learnings interesting and unforgettable.
Human behaviour intrigues me and the more I see, experience and explore, the more I learn. Its an ongoing journey.
I see myself as one of the rare breed of trainers that leads exploration from the front. This means that I don't enter the programme with an agenda, but work with the reality of the group. This basically means that rather than sit and give gyan I go with whatever exploration seems to be the need to resolve the group dynamics right along with the group. Not as predictable and easy to describe as most training, but the impact is far deeper, since it addresses the blocks experienced by participants rather than prescriptions of concepts.
I work with children through activity based workshops and camps. Some programme themes for teenagers are: leadership, rights and responsibility, dealing with authority, gender, conflict management and planning the future. Fun based programmes for natural living, adventure, nature study, and supplementing education like geography, science, etc. work well to develop knowledge and interdependence without any "gyan"
I also do programmes with teachers for sensitivity and communication training.
With corporates, I do activity based Experiential learning facilitation, as well as indoor workshops. The nature of the content vaires depending on the group situation and objectives. There are as many kinds of programmes as there are organizational needs. My favourites are where learning can be passionately desired.
I do work with corporates using outdoor team building games, exploratory activities, treasure hunts, high adventure activities, and simple existence and interactions in the outdoors.
I guess the best thing to do is contact me.

I see working as a facilitator as not really work. It is simply an extension of what I am, doing what comes to me naturally. I have a deep belief in the exploration of human potential, processes and relationships leading to more fulfilling lives. As a facilitator, I simply bring my belief into the room and enter the journey along with my participants.
To me, facilitation is not about agendas and "syllabus to cover". The best planned training is only a possible direction for learning and exploration. True learning and exploration happens when we develop through our own experiences. Feelings can't be planned. Nor can learnings for an entire group match. To be authentic, I don't believe I can walk in with a plan and deliver exactly that. What I can do is be there with my group solidly through whatever unfolds and see where it takes us.

Ugh..... You don't want to hear about it. Film production is blood, sweat and tears and no fame and credits unless you're working on a commercial featue. It challenging and fun though, if you're willing to be on the go round the clock until the project is done. Yeah - I'm speaking of advertising films of course. What else works at these mad paces?

I believe formal education is a lazy man's way of proving his worth. It is our performance that is the bottom line. If I am good on one project and not on the other, - well... that is what I am. Qualifications mean nothing without an ability to consistently deliver to requirements.
