Ranjan Kumar (ranjan.cook@gmail.com)’s Summary

Diversity has been a constant theme all through my adult life. Attempting to be an engineer, I chose to be a hotel management graduate, and was managing a food retail outlet before deciding to pursue an MBA, and then joining pharma industry before anchoring in the knowledge services offshoring industry.

This journey, over the past decade, has been very enriching and fulfilling. I have worked with and learned from some brilliant individuals across functions including Operations, Brand Management, Sales, Project Management, Client Management and Business Development. Working with RocSearch for more than three years, I have acquired valuable operational, business-building, and cross-cultural BD experience.

My 4-5 year goal is to build a distinctive professional services firm that is considered an aspirational workplace by prospective employees and is held in high esteem by clients for its impeccable quality and cutting-edge delivery. The longer term goal is to contribute to nation-building, by taking diverse roles in education, writing, social sector, and politics.

I draw inspiration from the famous words of Schumpeter- "Being remembered for books and theories is not enough. One does not make a difference unless it is a difference in the lives of people."
