2000 — Present (9 years )
Served as CTO and VP of Software Development since July 2000 till date. The company has a range of products in PKI based digital signatures and encryption. My responsibilities included tracking new technologies, doing strategic planning, defining technical directions for the company and overseeing the complete software development life cycle, right from conceptualization and design to implementation and delivery. I was directly involved in design and architecture of all of its products and implementation of some key components. Handled a maximum team size of around 25 people.
Work at E-Lock involved development of core proprietary security platforms (both using ActiveX and Java) and developing products on top of these platforms. The products spanned from desktop based ones to client-server and purely server-based automated products. E-Lock products and SDKs are aimed at providing the users with security and legal compliance through attributes such as non-repudiation, authenticity, integrity and confidentiality

1989 — 2000 (11 years )
As a subsidiary of Frontier Technologies Corporation (http://www.frontiertech.com), the company worked on networking products for Windows platform. Served as Director of Engineering from April 1987 till 2000. In this capacity, I was a major contributor to the award-winning product SuperTCP Suite that has received over 30 US and international acclaims. I was also responsible for numerous large contracts and OEM deals. Handled a maximum team size of around 60 people.
The development involved implementation of protocols from low-level ones like X.25 to all the upper layers of OSI network protocols in early days. It also included development of ISO standard applications of X.400 and FTAM on top of the core ISO stack. This was later followed by implementation of TCP/IP protocol stack and various protocols on top of it like NetBIOS on TCP/IP, RPC, NFS, YP / NIS etc. Subsequently many networking applications were developed on top of this such as FTP client, server, Telnet, Web browser, web server etc.
